My work is rooted in an ongoing exploration of themes derived from history, mythology, and legend, which are often subtly interwoven with fragments of everyday life. Rather than presenting these subjects in a literal or illustrative manner, I seek to reinterpret them through a personal visual language—one that is shaped as much by imagination and intuition as it is by atmosphere and mood. This approach allows me to move beyond straightforward representation, transforming familiar narratives into something more ambiguous, poetic, and open-ended.
In my paintings, elements from different times and contexts coexist, creating layered compositions that resist a single, fixed interpretation. Historical references may appear alongside ordinary, contemporary details, while mythological motifs are reimagined in settings that feel both recognizable and otherworldly. Through this interplay, I aim to blur the boundaries between reality and fiction, the past and the present, the known and the unknown.
Atmosphere plays a central role in this process. Light, color, and texture are used not only to construct space, but also to evoke a particular emotional tone—one that invites reflection and curiosity. I am less interested in providing clear answers than in creating a sense of quiet tension and possibility, where meaning unfolds gradually through the viewer’s engagement.
Ultimately, my work aspires to suggest a narrative without fully defining it. Each painting functions as an open invitation: a space in which viewers can project their own interpretations, memories, and associations. In this way, the familiar and the fantastical are brought together, forming a world that feels at once distant and intimate, strange yet strangely recognizable.
